Orange and EVOO Christmas cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 220 gr all-purpose wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 220 gr sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 125 ml. GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 orange for juice
  • For Orange syrup:
  • 50 gr of powdered sugar
  • 50 gr butter
  • 1 orange juice
  • Orange marmalade to your taste
  • Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 375º F.

Grease the 24 cm/ 10 inches baking mold with butter and line it briefly, sprinkling a little flour on the base and walls of the mold.

Break and beat the eggs.

Mix all the dry ingredients, sifting the flour.

Add the wet ingredients: extra virgin olive oil and beaten eggs.

Pour half of the mixture into the mold.
Add the tablespoons of orange marmalade and cover with the other half of the mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Serve it decorated with orange syrup, the orange marmalade and sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top. It is an ideal cake to accompany your Christmas hot cocoa!
