On Tuesday, July 23, the Chamber of Commerce of Seville hosted the presentation of the special on exports and the XIV Ranking of Exporting Companies of Andalusia edited by the magazine Andalucía Económica.

The event, chaired by the Regional Councilor for Economy, Finance and European Funds of Andalusia, Carolina España, allowed to highlight the weight that Andalusian exports represent to the regional and national economic context. “Our companies are our best ambassadors: architects of economic transformation, they cross borders taking the name of Andalusia around the world,” said the Minister of Economy.

Ranking empresas exportadoras de andalucia economica

As confirmed by the Observatory for the Internationalization of the Andalusian Economy of Andalusia TRADE, Andalusia has reached in the first five months of the year 18,035 million euros in exports thanks to a year-on-year growth of 5.4%, compared to the 2.3% drop in exports of Spain as a whole (162,137 million). Moreover, it is the only region among the five largest exporters to show growth.

This trend has allowed the region to position as the third community in exports, although it is the one that contributes the most to the development of the export sector in Spain as a whole, representing 11.2% of national sales and presenting a growth of 5.4%, compared to the decline of the other four major exporters in the ranking. Andalusia’s position in relation to the bulk of the Spanish export sector is based on the diversification of the products exported. Thus, the two main export pillars correspond to the aeronautical industry, with an increase of 84%, and olive oil, which rose by 75%, both with record sales.

Goya España, a leading exporter of extra virgin olive oil and olives from the province of Seville to more than 20 international markets, was also present at the event. Our general manager, Antonio Carrasco, accompanied by the export director, Philippe Parouty, had the opportunity to exchange impressions with other leading companies in the region.
