Organized by the Olive Oil Times Guide, the NYIOCC awards have great international prestige. Every year they recognize the best extra virgin olive oils worldwide. For 2021, the competition received 1,171 participant requests from the leading producing countries breaking the prior record of 1,003 participants in 2018.
For the 4th year in a row, the Goya Unico and Organics have been recognized in this renowned New York competition, obtaining gold medals in the event’s ninth edition.
These two awards are added to more than 100 international awards obtained by Goya olive oils in the last five years.
Quality and flavor from Spain in the US market
Keeping this record another year contributes to spreading the quality and culture of the extra virgin olive oils in the U.S., as well as the reinforcement of the GOYA olive oils in this market.

Goya Spain bottles and exports its extra virgin olive oils since 1974, following the most strict safety certifications. Among them, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) AA stands out, an international law that supports GOYA in their food handling practices. Currently, extra virgin olive oils are available to the public in 4 varieties: “Único”, “Organics” awarded in NYIOOC 2021), as well as “Robusto” and “Classic”.
